Illa Pedrosa is a small island close to the shore close to Estartit towards l'Escala. Standing 10 metres high and around 30 metres from the cliffs, Illa Pedrosa is approximately 30 metres long and 15 metres wide. It can be easily reached from Estartit or l'Escala and dive boats from both towns run excursions there.

The main feature of Illa Pedrosa is the large tunnel that runs through it. The tunnel ceiling is approximately 5 metres deep and the floor goes down to 27 metres. Also interesting is the chimney on the seaward side of the tunnel that rises from 15 metres to 5 metres. It is easily located; you can find it close to the seaward exit of the tunnel on the right hand side.

The tunnel is full of coral, and looking at the walls many lobsters and other life can be found. On the seaward exit to the tunnel are a number of large rocks on the floor, and here you can often find large scorpionfish blending into their surroundings.
